Originally, I am from Aliquippa, PA, a small town in Beaver County, where my parents Janice and Sam still reside. I have a brother, Nick, three years my junior, who practices law in Beaver County. I attended St. Titus Elementary school in Aliquippa before going on to high school at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in Moon Township (graduated in 1999). My travels then led to me Meadville, PA for my undergraduate studies at Allegheny College. Fortunately, my first two preclinical years of medical school were spent in Bradenton, Florida at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) at the Bradenton campus. I received my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree June 8, 2008. My Internship and Internal Medicine residency were completed at UPMC Mercy in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania between June 2008 and June 2011.
I married my wife, Dana (Petronzi) Urick, October 20, 2012. My wife earned her Masters Degree at Duquesne University as a Physician Assistant and worked in Pulmonary Medicine for over 5 years. We live in Moon Township with our 8 year old Yorkie named Joey and welcomed our first born child, a daughter Lillian (Lily) Rose Urick into the world on August 30, 2014. On September 14, 2017 we were blessed with the birth of our twin daughters Violet Adele and Scarlett Mary Elizabeth Urick. We chose middle names for our twins after our dearly departed Grandmothers who still hold a special place in our hearts. Adele was the middle name of my Grandma (also my Great Grandmother and is my mother's middle name). Mary and Elizabeth were the names of Dana's late Grandmothers).
When not working, I do enjoy cooking (especially Italian food), baking, dancing, listening to Frank Sinatra, watching comedy, learning about American History, blogging, teaching my daughter French, and getting to know other people. We Uricks like to laugh, as we believe laughter is the best medicine.
